Construction Phasing Plans

Two construction phasing plans have been developed for the current Richfield City Hall/Heredia Park site during the construction of the new Police/Fire/City Hall facility.  An initial plan, to commence in October 2009, will create the temporary parking lot on the tennis courts located in Heredia Park as well as install the northern portion of a lot just off Portland Ave. on the current building's east side.  That lot will get extended in the spring of 2010 and become Phase 1. During this time, the main entry to the current lot will remain open.

Phase 1
The first phasing plan will be in effect spring 2010 through the completion of the new building (February 2011).  Phase 1 provides parking in two temporary lots for customers and staff.  The lot alongside Portland Avenue will consist of 35 parking spaces to serve City customers and staff.  A second lot behind City Hall will accommodate 31 vehicles.

Phase 2
After completion of the new building, the Phase 2 construction plan will be implemented.  During Phase 2, the old City Hall building will be demolished and the new parking lot constructed on the former building site.  Landscaping will also be completed.  Phase 2 is expected to be in effect from approximately March 2011 through June/July 2011.
