LYNDALE STATION

(formerly the Kmart site at 66th Street and Lyndale Avenue)

PROJECT UPDATE:  Wellington Management took ownership of the former Kmart site on November, 14, 2011.  Demolition has begun and construction of the LA Fitness and 19,700 square foot retail building will take place over the winter.

• The site is to be redeveloped by Wellington Management, Inc.
• City Council approved the project on August 9, 2011
• The site will include a L.A. Fitness (scheduled to open Fall 2012), as well as a 19,700 square foot retail building (scheduled to open Spring 2012) and a 9,000 square foot restaurant.  Both the retail and restaurant to be named at a later date.
