Emergency response:

Fires, medical, rescue, hazardous materials.  We are staffed by full-time, professional firefighters 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.

Blood pressure checks

Blood pressure checks are available both stations on a walk-in basis from 9:00 - 11:30 AM and 1:00 - 9:00 PM.  Please note that due to the nature of our job, we may not be at the station when you stop by.

Fire prevention education

We offer a variety of public education opportunities for you, your family and your organization.  Station tours are available along with presentations on fire safety.  Please call 612-243-4503 to setup an event.

Child Safety Seat inspection and Installation

Location:  Richfield Fire Department No. 1 (City Hall Building), 6700 Portland Ave., Richfield, MN
Fee:  $25 service fee

Information:  It takes about 45 minutes for the inspection and installation.  Training is provided to the car owner on how to re-install the car seat properly.  At this time we have two NHTSA certified car seat technicians.  No family will be denied an appointment if they cannot afford the service fee.
