Every year since 1979 Richfield has
organized what has become one of the premier fourth of July events in suburban
Minneapolis. A committee is responsible for putting together the festival
which typically runs five days.
Some of the featured events include
live music, dancing, concessions, grand parade and kids parade, a midway with
rides/games, and, of course, fireworks.
Most of the events take place at
Veterans Memorial Park, which is located at 64th and Portland Ave.
