The Crime Prevention Unit of the Richfield Police Division will provide several services to neighborhoods that join the Watch program. The strength of the Neighborhood Watch program is the cooperation between the police and the citizens. The following services are provided to active Watch blocks.

• EYE SPY Newsletter - a newsletter specifically for Richfield Neighborhood Watch blocks. It is distributed three times a year.

• Operation Identification

• Home Security Surveys

• Crime Alerts - your neighborhood will be notified about any "crime waves" in your area.

• Current information on crime statistics in Richfield.

• Regular meetings between block leaders and the Crime Prevention Officer and/or Crime Prevention Specialist.

• Updated information on crime prevention techniques.

• The Crime Prevention Officer and Crime Prevention Specialist are your liaisons with the police. The Officer and Crime Prevention Specialist are available to attend any neighborhood meetings to answer questions or to help develop a plan to solve a neighborhood problem.

• Participation in special crime prevention activities such as National Night Out.

• Many neighborhoods have also said that their neighborhood became more close-knit after joining the Watch program. This has made their block a more enjoyable place to live.
