The City Council created a Transportation Committee in the Spring of 2003 to advise it on various transportation policy issues.  Meetings are held at Richfield City Hall, 6700 Portland Avenue, on the first Wednesday of the month, unless the date conflicts with holidays or other events.

The City Council has asked the Committee to review proposed improvements to I-494 and I-35W and provide recommendations for Council consideration. Of particular concern to the Committee will be the amount of access provided to the freeways in Richfield and the amount of right of way needed to upgrade the freeway network.
