Public Works sweeps the streets clean of debris in the Fall, in the Spring, and as needed.

Leaves Ordinance Reminder

Raking leaves into the street is prohibited under Public Nuisance Ordinance, 925.01 Subd. 4.(n) in which " obstruction to the free flow of water in a natural waterway or a public street drain, gutter or ditch with trash, lawn clippings, leaves, rocks, boards or other materials" is declared to be a  public nuisance.  If you observe people raking leaves into the gutter you can report the address to Jean or Kathy in the City's Public Safety Department at 612-861-9880.

 

2011 Fall Street Sweeping

Fall street sweeping will start on October 12, 2011 and continue until weather permits.  Crews will begin sweeping on 78th and Xerxes and continue heading east.  If you have any questions please call the Public Works Department at 612-861-9170.
