Maps to Trees and Dedications

Adopt a TreeRichfield staff and residents take great pride in the City's care and maintenance of trees.  It's the reason Richfield has earned the National Arbor Day Foundation’s "Tree City USA" award for achievement in urban forestry for 13 straight years!

Make a lasting and living contribution to our community by adopting a tree in one of Richfield’s parks or other public land.

Richfield’s 22 parks and other green spaces provide the perfect setting for honoring friends and loved ones with a tree that everybody can enjoy.

Donors may choose to adopt a tree that is part of the City's annual spring planting.  Each spring, Parks Maintenance chooses locations that are in need of trees and the donor's choice of species and location would be limited to those already determined.  The City would water the tree.

For a greater cost, the donor may choose their own species and location.  City staff will meet you onsite to determine the feasibility of planting a tree at your chosen location (considering maintenance, safety and recreational issues).  Trees are balled in burlap and planted by an outside vendor.  The donor's cost will be the same as the City's cost to plant the tree. Donor will be responsible for watering, if needed.
