July 4th Volunteers

THE RICHFIELD 4TH OFJULY COMMITTEE NEEDS YOU!  SEE BELOW!

Celebrate the 4th of July in Richfield!

Every year since 1979 Richfield has organized what has become one of the premier fourth of July events in suburban Minneapolis.  A committee is responsible for putting together the festival which typically runs five days.

Some of the featured events include live music, dancing, concessions, grand parade and kids parade, a midway with rides/games, and, of course, fireworks.

Most of the events take place at Veterans Memorial Park, which is located at 64th and Portland Ave.

Our Richfield Hometown 4th of July Celebration is a 100% Volunteer & 100% Sponsored event. Without your help, these events would not happen!
To be able to continue this annual celebration, we need your support! Please continue to show your support through volunteering your time, services or through sponsoring an event through the giving of cash or items - to make this years events happen!

If every family in Richfield donated $5, and every business in Richfield donated $100, we would have enough to make these events happen without having to ask for enormous amounts of money from a handful of sponsors.  As it stands for the 2009 - we are in danger of having to either do without one or more of your favorite events or even worse - not have a celebration at all!  We need your help! Let's pull together as a community and make our celebration happen!  Every little bit counts!  You can donate online at www.richfield4thofjuly.com- at the bottom of the main page click on donate to use Pay Pal.  You can also send donations to

Richfield 4th of July Inc., PO Box 23381, Richfield, MN 55423

To volunteer your time and talent, call Rob Shurtleff 612-287-1589.
We REALLY need your help. Please think about it.

Committee meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, 7:00 pm, at the Community Center (7000 Nicollet Ave).  Prospective members are welcome to attend meetings just to observe.  Thanks!

If you have any other suggestions, questions, comments, concerns about this years events - please do let us know.  If you would like to volunteer your time, services or make a donation - we can always use more help to make this years events happen.
