This license is valid for three years. To transfer a titled watercraft the transfer must be executed on a Minnesota or foreign state title.  A bill of sale or a previous registration card is needed to transfer an untitled watercraft.  Only the registered owner may renew the registration.  The following is required to register a watercraft in Minnesota:

• Make
• Year
• Length
• Hull identification number of watercraft
• Motor size if applicable
• Driver’s license number and signature
