Open Streets at Penn Fest is being held on Sunday, September 18, 12:00–4:00 pm along Penn Avenue in Richfield. Volunteers are needed to help make this a successful program!
Time Commitment: There will be two shifts of volunteers on Sunday, September 18. Volunteers choose which shift they can work and commit to the entire three hour shift. Shift options are 11:00 am–2:00 pm, and 2:00-5:00 pm.
Location: Volunteers will be assigned to each of the Penn Ave. intersections
Volunteer Task Description & Responsibilities:
- Hand out information and maps to Penn Fest attendees
- Answer questions and direct people to events/locations
- Help direct Penn Ave. home owners who may need to access their driveways
- Move barricades into place at the beginning and end of event
Ensure that a safe environment is being upheld, report any suspicious or unsafe activity to event staff
Training: A volunteer training will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30pm at the Richfield Community Center (7000 Nicollet Ave.) to inform and prepare volunteers for Penn Fest.
