Executive Department

The Executive Department, under direction of the City Manager, oversees all municipal activities.  Department staff are responsible for the implementation of Council policies/directives and state and federal laws/mandates.

The department is the direct link between City Council, legal counsel, the public, and other departments and is responsible for ensuring information is communicated to the public effectively through a variety of mediums.

The department also oversees issues relating to the Minneapolis / St. Paul International Airport, human services, and cable TV.
