 Welcome and Introductions

City Planning Updates:

  • Cary Teague - Edina Planning Director
  • Bob Hawbaker - Bloomington Planning Manager
  • Melissa Poehlman - Richfield Planning & Zoning Administator

Updates will include:

  • A brief overview of current and/or anticipated development projects
  • Update on Comprehensive Plan progress
  • Any special projects that may be of interest to the group

Small group discussions:  Commissioners will be seated to facilitate small group discussions.  Possible topics for discussion include:

  • Engaging minority communities in the planning process
  • Planning for an aging population
  • Electronic / dynamic sign regulations
  • On-street parking in residential neighborhoods
  • Property maintenance - education tools
  • Any other topics of particular interest to the group

Small group reporting:  Groups will have the chance to report on their discussions and bring forward key issues that may be of interest to the whole group.
