- All-concrete, in-ground,
continuous bowl skate park - the first in the Upper Midwest
- With street course elements on
the side, the park offers enough variety to accommodate a range
of skill levels with depths ranging from four to twelve feet.

Veterans Park Pavilion

- Open-sided shelter is 120' x
60', divided into three 40’ x 60’ sections. Each section
accommodates 80 people, has 10 tables, access to electricity and
indoor bathrooms. Charcoal grills are permitted, no alcoholic
beverages allowed.

Wood Lake Nature Center

- 150-acre natural area dedicated
to environmental education, wildlife observation, and outdoor
recreation
- Approximately 72,000 visitors a
year
- Wood Lake was once a
recreational lake, surrounded by homes, but much of its water
drained in the 1950's
- At the time of its opening in 1971, Wood Lake
became the first municipal nature center in the region.
