On September 11,
2008, the Richfield City Council confirmed the appointment of Barry Fritz as
Richfield's Public Safety Director. He had served as a Captain in the
department for many years prior to his appointment.
The Public Safety Department has
four divisions: Police Services, Property Maintenance, Health, and Licensing
Services, Building Inspection Services, and Emergency Management / Homeland
Security Services. Our organization takes pride in providing the highest
quality police services to our citizens and businesses.
Primary objectives of any law enforcement agency
are to continually and consistently improve the level of public safety and
quality of life for its citizens. The Department of Public Safety is a modern,
well-trained and equipped organization dedicated to those objectives.
