Citizen Police Academy

2008 Citizen Police Academy
Free 15-hour, 5 week course
Meets on Thursdays beginning Sept. 25, 2008
6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The Richfield Citizen Police Academy is a free, five-week course designed to give residents a working knowledge of the operations and responsibilities of the Richfield Police. It is also a great opportunity to meet Richfield’s police officers.

We hope graduates of the Citizen Police Academy will take their knowledge into the community and educate others when the opportunity arises, thereby helping to keep Richfield a good place to live and work.

Who May Attend The Academy?
Any person who is at least 18 years old and either lives or works in Richfield. All eligible applicants will be screened by conducting a criminal history check. A felony conviction will automatically disqualify an applicant. Convictions for misdemeanor crimes will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

How Do I Apply?
To apply for the Citizen Police Academy, DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION and mail to Jill Mecklenburg, Richfield Police Department, 6700 Portland Avenue South, Richfield, MN 55423.
